We do not sell, trade, or rent Users personal identification information to others. We may share generic aggregated demographic information not linked to any personal identification information regarding visitors and users with our business partners, trusted affiliates and advertisers for the purposes outlined above. Electronic newsletters
If User decides to opt-in to our mailing list, they will receive emails that may include company news, updates, related product or service information, etc. We may use third party service providers to help us operate our business and the Site or administer activities on our behalf, such as sending out newsletters or surveys. We may share your information with these third parties for those limited purposes provided that you have given us your permission.
For Further Clarification
The security of your information is a top priority for me, and I never want you to feel uncomfortable! So, to accompany the legalese, let me further clarify my intent regarding sign-ups to receive email communications:
I will never share the information you provide with anyone other than the third party I use for sending my newsletters and other communications. Currently, that is Mailchimp. I’ve used them for several years now and have been consistently impressed with their dedication to customer service and security. If you wish to have a look at their documentation, here’s a link to their privacy policy.
By signing up for Letters from the Acorn Den, the Tea Party Chronicles, or any other freebies and live events from Something Delicious, you give your consent to providing Open Tracking data. What this means is a little invisible image (1x1 pixels) is embedded in each email. So long as you’ve chosen to display images in your emails, Mailchimp's secure system will be able to tell, thanks to that image, that the email has been opened.
Open Tracking allows me to be able to do things like:
- sending your requested checklists a second time if, after a few days, it appears that you haven’t received them
- getting a sense of which topics most interest you, so I can tailor future communications to those interests
- ensuring you’ve received the information necessary to attend a live event, like one of the Tea Party Chronicles
You may unsubscribe at any time through the link provided at the bottom of every email. If that doesn’t seem to be working, please email me (victoriafry@somethingdelicious.co) and I’ll make sure the change is made as soon as possible!
One last thing: if you're under 17 years of age, you must have parental permission before providing your personal information for any of these mailing lists.

Accessibility Statement for Something Delicious
Updated: March 2023.
General
As the creator of this website and creator and/or curator of all its content, I (Tori Fry) strive to ensure that it is accessible to people with disabilities. I am taking steps on a regular basis to help ensure that this website is made easier to use and more accessible for people with disabilities, with the strong belief that every person has the right to live with dignity, equality, comfort and independence.

Somethingdelicious.co makes available the UserWay Website Accessibility Widget that is powered by a dedicated accessibility server. The software allows somethingdelicious.co to improve its compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1).
Enabling the Accessibility Menu
The somethingdelicious.co accessibility menu can be enabled by clicking the accessibility menu icon that appears on the middle-right of the page. After triggering the accessibility menu, please wait a moment for the accessibility menu to load in its entirety.
Disclaimer
Somethingdelicious.co continues its efforts to constantly improve the accessibility of its site and services in the belief that it is our collective moral obligation to allow seamless, accessible and unhindered use for those with disabilities.
Despite my efforts to make all pages and content on somethingdelicious.co fully accessible, this is an ongoing process and some content may not have yet been fully adapted to the strictest accessibility standards. This may be a result of not having found or identified the most appropriate technological solution.

My Commitment to a Better World
I promise to keep learning, listening, and contributing to a kinder, more respectful and equitable world - a lifelong journey.
As well as the internal work of understanding my own privilege and the way I've benefited from it, this promise includes backing up these words with actions like working to make Something Delicious more accessible, replacing certain phrases in my vocabulary with ones I've learned to be more respectful alternatives (and eradicating some altogether), and supporting creations and initiatives by lesser heard voices.
Here's to a more loving, respectful, and inclusive creative landscape, and a world where white supremacy and the systemic oppression it upholds no longer have a foothold! 💕
My Policy on AI-Generated Content
When used ethically and with appropriate levels of caution and understanding of its capabilities (and lack thereof), AI can be a very useful tool in some fields.
However, generative AI hasn't been (and will not be) used to generate any of the content on Something Delicious. I love crafting all of the content from scratch, and my focus has always been, and continues to be, on the wonderful, perplexing, hilarious, beautiful, heartbreaking, and marvellous creations of the human mind!
This also allows me to have a greater level of comfort that I'm not unknowingly plagiarizing someone else's content, and affords the opportunity to continue wholeheartedly indulging one of my lifelong joys: diving headfirst into research, learning, and exploration of the topics I'm writing about, and discovering connections I previously hadn't known about or noticed. It may be slower than having an AI research assistant, but it's a whole lot more fun. 😉
